Oversize Haulage — Acacia Ridge
Acacia Ridge is one of Brisbane's key heavy vehicle and plant yards hubs, sitting on the southern industrial corridor with direct access to the Gateway and Logan Motorways. It's a natural staging point for earthmoving plant, transportable buildings and structural steel moving into and out of the southern industrial belt. We plan Acacia Ridge moves around the Richards Road and Beatty Road heavy vehicle access, the motorway interchanges and the peak-hour windows that limit when over-dimensional loads can travel.
Industrial context
Acacia Ridge and the adjoining Richlands area host plant hire yards, transport depots, steel and precast fabricators and modular building manufacturers. It's a common pickup and delivery point for excavators, dozers, graders, transportable offices and structural steel across SEQ.
Likely loads
Excavators and earthmoving plant between yards and civil sites, transportable buildings to schools and commercial sites, structural steel to builds, and wide plant moving out to Yatala, Ipswich or the Gold Coast. Many moves start or end in a yard here.
Route notes
Access runs via Boundary, Richards and Beatty Roads to the Gateway Motorway (M1) and the Logan Motorway (M6). The interchanges are the swept-path pinch points for wide and long loads; we check turning at the roundabouts and route around the 6:30–9:00am and 3:30–6:30pm peaks and school-zone hours.
Permit and escort
Wide loads past 2.5m need a permit; past 3.5m they need a pilot plan. Over-height loads check against the Gateway bridge clearances. We handle the NHVR access permit and pilot booking for moves originating in or delivering to Acacia Ridge.
