What triggers a permit
In Queensland, a load becomes oversize when it exceeds standard dimension limits. The table below sets out the indicative thresholds and the escort planning that usually follows. We confirm the exact requirements against your load and route when you request a quote.

How we handle compliance
NHVR access permits
We prepare and lodge the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator access permit for the route and combination. Permit lead time often governs when a move can travel, so we book early.
Route surveys & bridge ratings
For OSOM and heavy moves we survey the route — swept path at roundabouts and interchanges, overhead clearances, and bridge and pavement ratings against the load's axle weights.
Pilot escort planning
We size the pilot escort plan to the load's width, height and mass, and coordinate police escort and traffic management for the largest OSOM moves. Pilot escort itself is a thin bridge to a specialist partner.
Lead time
A straightforward oversize permit may take a few days; an OSOM permit with bridge rating checks can take one to two weeks or more. We'll tell you the realistic lead time when you request a quote, and we book permits as early as the job allows.
