Precast Concrete Transport Brisbane
Precast concrete is dense, heavy and often long — wall panels, beams, columns, slabs and T-beams for Brisbane's commercial and civil builds. A precast panel can weigh 20–40 tonnes and run well past 12 metres, which puts it squarely into extendable drop deck or platform float territory and frequently triggers a permit for length or mass. We plan precast transport around the panel dimensions, the site crane lift window and the route from precast yard to pour.
What we move
Precast wall panels, beams and girders, columns, slabs, T-beams, culvert units and segmental bridge components. We move from precast yards (commonly around Yatala, Ipswich and the Brisbane southern industrial belt) to commercial and civil sites across SEQ.
Trailer matching
Long panels and beams suit an extendable drop deck to manage overhang and keep the load within escort thresholds. Heavy beams and large bridge segments need a platform float, sometimes with a jinker. We select against the panel's weight, length and width — and against the site's crane reach for offloading.
Permit and escort
Length beyond 12m, width over 2.5m or rear overhang past 3.7m trigger a permit. Long precast beams commonly need one or two pilots and a route survey for turning at roundabouts. We handle the NHVR access permit and pilot plan.
Site and timing
Precast deliveries are usually scheduled to a crane lift window — the panel has to arrive when the site crane and crew are ready. We coordinate with the precast yard, the builder and the crane operator, and we route around the Gateway and Ipswich peaks to hit the window.
