Indicative rate bands

The table below sets out realistic bands for the most common SEQ oversize haulage services. Actual capacity, configuration and route drive the final figure.

What drives the price

  • Trailer and combination — a 2-axle low loader costs less than a multi-axle platform float with a jeep dolly and steerable rear.
  • Route and distance — loaded kilometres, corridor restrictions and the swept-path survey at SEQ interchanges.
  • Permit and escort — NHVR access permit cost, pilot numbers, and police escort/traffic management for OSOM.
  • Timing — peak, after-hours, weekend and event-window premiums where corridor or site access requires it.
  • Fuel levy — a variable levy applied on top of the base rate, moving with the pump price.

Rates FAQ

Are these rates a quote?

No. These are indicative bands for planning only, dated September 2026. They are not a quote and not a guarantee. Request a quote for a firm indication based on your exact load, route and timing.

What changes the final price?

The trailer and combination, the route distance and corridor, permit and escort requirements, fuel levy at the time, timing (peak, after-hours, weekend), and any bridge rating or traffic management requirements.

Why a fuel levy?

Heavy haulage fuel cost is significant and moves with the pump price. We apply a variable fuel levy on top of the base rate so the quote reflects the real cost at the time of the move.
